There’s finally a solid update on Indiana Jones 5. During The Empire Awards last night the Ready Player One director dropped something us Indy fans have been waiting for. Director Stephen Spielberg let it be known that Indiana Jones will be his next film and he will return to England to work with many of the British crew he used for his newest film.
In April of 2019 we will all be very happy. At The Empire Awards last night Spielberg announced:
“It’s always worth the trip when I get to work with this deep bench of talent coming out of the UK. The actors, and the crew, the chippies, the sparks, the drivers — everybody who has helped me make my movies here, and will continue helping me make my movies here when I come back in April 2019 to make the fifth Indiana Jones movie right here.”
It sounds like things are track for the newest announced release date. I was pretty confident they would make the changed date but after waiting years for the last Indy film, I was still a little apprehensive.
The fifth Indiana Jones will see Harrison Ford return as Indiana Jones and will be directed by Stephen Spielberg. The film will release July 10, 2020.
